Goa Doc (aka DJ/VJ Doctor Spook & Nathan Vogel) from San Francisco is a world renowned DJ/VJ, award winning 3D animator and music video director. He began creating psychedelic visuals and music in 1992 and has been receiving critical acclaim for all of his projects with Minds Eye Media. Spook has worked with many major music labels such as Arista, Geffen, Universal, Sony, Om, Spun and other prominent global Psy – trance labels to introduce ground breaking hot new releases. ¬Spook’s passion for electronic music drove him to start making music in 1990 as Mindstorm. He began DJing psytrance at the Burning Man festival in 1998. Doctor Spook now tours the world every year playing at festivals such as Bonaroo, Boom, Burning Man, The Love Parade, Earthdance and many others.

Some symphonic music now, we head to the classical era with a symphony by Mozart. From my liner notes, he wrote this when in Rome apparently (it’s suggested) when he was only 14 years old. From the booklet, it’s labeled as Symphony #10 as well so it’s quite an early one of his.

You’ll notice a ‘glitchy’ transition from the first movement to the second. There’s really not much of a transition because they’re both connected so the computer splits it in half. Hope you don’t mind!

“Anthony Rother is an electronic music composer, producer and label owner living in Frankfurt, Germany. He is one of the artists responsible for the turn-of-the-millennium revival of the electro genre, which was originally introduced in the late 1970’s by the German band Kraftwerk, who have had a major influence on Rother’s music.
Rother’s electro sound (”Sex With the Machines”, “Simulationszeitalter”, “Hacker”) is characterized by repetitive machine-like beats, robotic, vocoder-driven vocals, melancholy, futuristic mood and lyrics that often deal with the consequences of technological progress, the relationship between humans and machines, and the role of computers in society.
In addition to electro, Rother also composes dark ambient music (”Elixir of Life”, “Art Is a Technology”). He owns and operates the record label PSI49NET, though he has also worked with many other record labels throughout his career.”
