Gregor started at eight with piano lessons. After the song “Royal House – Can you party” had been heard, however, he became captivated by the House. Then he started around his 14th birthday with making electronic music on the Commodore Amiga his father. Along with school friend DJ Ernst he won a talent contest at his high school Gymnasium Haarlem, after which he claimed money from the fund in Aeternum. Supplemented with borrowed money and bought Ernst Gregor their first equipment. Gregor’s first singles were released in 1994 under the Amsterdam Outland Records label. Under the pseudonym Scuba took a number of songs on the Amsterdam label Fresh Fruit. After an internship at the distributor of the Spanish chill-out record label Cafe Del Mar, Gregor founded late 2003 his own label G-Rex Music on. Other aliases are used Gregor Luna Mora, Danny & The Beach House and Graxx Brothers.

Help with Record Company Internship?

I’m going to be a sophomore in high school this fall and have decided that I would like my career to be in music. I would like an internship at a record label, so that I can see how they work. I’ll be able to get a job in the Spring of 2011. Any suggestions on how I should go about getting an internship. What do they look for?
What sort of job would look good on my resume?

describe your perfect job !?

I recently finished studying biology and have been looking for a part time job to earn some cash to travel with, before then pursuing a permanent job in biology.
Despite my desperation whilst searching for jobs I have often found myself very selective., passing by jobs I know I could easily get in place of applying for jobs near impossible for me to be employed in.
I want to work in music! but whenever I see any available job I immediately consider the people applying. Musicians, those involved in music degrees, have previously completed internships etc etc..
So I am wondering, am I also facing the populace whilst attempting to apply for these jobs. Does everyone not want to work somewhere in a record label ?
So pleasee tell me your dream jobs!!

Mine is in A&R for an indie music label (preferably my own)
