The record label approved a budget of $1.00 for this video, so my dreams of shooting on 35mm were just not going to come true. Instead, I bought a Snoop Doggy Dogg postcard and used my digital camera. I was also going to get Stevie Wonder to make an appearance, but he never returned my calls.

Guru Josh was a performer of the early 1990s British acid house music scene. His most successful release was the 1989 single ‘Infinity [1990s... Time for the Guru]‘, achieving UK No.5 and Germany No.2. Guru Josh was an alias for Paul Walden, who began his career as an entertainer and keyboard player at the Sands nightclub, Jersey, Channel Islands, performing under the name of Syndrone and Animal. Guru Josh also released several other singles: ‘Freaky Dreamer’, ‘Holographic Dreams’, ‘Whose Law [Is It Anyway?]‘, although none of them proved to be anywhere near as popular as his first single. He had most success in Europe.
The “Guru Josh Project” was formed in 2007. Consisting of three individuals with a love and passion for electronic music and old school 90s rave. Song Writer; Guru Josh, DJ & Producer; Darren Bailie and Producer; SnakeByte. Their aim is to bring back the magic of the 90s dance scene with a fresh, up to date new sound! The Project has started off with Guru Josh’s 1990 worldwide smash hit Infinity. [The first ever cross over track]. They have already been signed by Frankfurt record label; Big City Beats. Infinity 2008 is already smashing the German dance charts [DDC], hitting the top five in just two weeks. The single ‘Infinity 2008′ was released on November 3rd 2008, remixed by the German DJ “DJ Klaas” from the original of 1989. The single has so far peaked at No.1 on the Dutch and French Singles Chart, and No.3 on the UK Singles Chart. This is the video to this years biggest club anthem. The live footage of the video was shot inside the famous Cocoon Club in Frankfurt, Germany. when Guru Josh was performing live at his Comeback Party in March 2008! So, I’m a 15 year old who raps and produces hip-hop beats. I’m interested in sending my stuff to a promoter, mixtape DJ, or basically anyone who could help me get notice from someone other than a few other youtube rappers. I’m not going to post my music here, because I’m tired of feeling pathetic and getting views by posting stuff everywhere, but I do want to get my stuff seen. So…if I want my stuff to be listened to, who would I send it to?
Don’t send anything to major labels, they’ll just throw your package away seeing they get hundreds of demos a day. Try local labels and get your name our there and build connections. Big labels don’t sign people who have no fans, you gotta have a fan base.
I’ve looked on different sites and, they don’t say anything.
well, some sites accept mp3’s. You can go in person or you could try posting it (The adress should be on the website). Bear in mind that due to 30 deals (google it), they would want to see you perform live so you should try getting an A&R to come see you perform. If you have a manager, he/she should do that but if you manage yourself then you should endeavour to get more contacts and get in touch with A&R’s
