For example can a record label have techno djs, punk, alternative, hip hop?? can those types of music can be signed to 1 record label?

Usually, record labels stick to one genre, yet some vary.
Def Jam has Def Jam (for hip-hop) and Def Jam Island (for rock)

   It could but I don’t think they work that way or the company will own several labels for marketing reasons.
