YouTube vs Warner Music Group (WMG) vs US, With new information

WARNING : Adult language ahead. You’ve been warned.SEQUEL : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdFe4J… Some possible solutions to answer people who complained that we’re all complaining too much.lock and load. Yes, this bothers me this much. When I see people kill creativity to make money it burns me up. And I’ve been seeing a LOT of people with “fair use” content having their videos yanked over this. So yes, this bothers me. Don’t like it? Don’t watch. And I still maintain that a major problem is when “artists” become “businessmen”. how many people know Lars Ulrich had controlling interest in a recording label for a while? Right around when he went after Napster. Coincidence? I think not. But now, I see information that leads me to think Youtube isn’t nearly as “victim” as they’re trying to play themselves off as. I think they’re happy to let the masses believe they did nothing, when it might be the case that they’re the ones forcing the issue here and turning the screws on Warner. We’ll see how it plays out in the next few weeks, but I think the time to do something is *now*.Links mentioned in the video :http://www.youtube.com/blog?entry=Gg-… : Youtube blog where they

In 2000, Haggard made a comeback of sorts, signing with the independent record label Anti and releasing the spare If I Could Only Fly to critical acclaim. He followed it in 2001 with Roots, Vol. 1, a collection of Lefty Frizzell, Hank Williams and Hank Thompson covers, along with three Haggard originals. The album, recorded in Haggard’s living room with no overdubs, featured Haggard’s longtime bandmates The Strangers as well as Frizzell’s original lead guitarist, Norman Stephens.

Trip-Hop Music: The Herbaliser – Something Wicked

March 82010

The Cosmic Lounge presents Trip-Hop Music: ‘Something Wicked’ by The Herbaliser.

“The Herbaliser is a hip-hop band formed by Ollie Teeba and Jake Wherry in London, UK in 1994. Currently one of the most famous artists from the Ninja Tune independent record label, they have released 7 LPs, including a DJ mix for Ninja Tunes Solid Steel series. Their latest release is Same As It Never Was using more live instrumentation and featuring soulful vocals on four tracks. Tracks by The Herbaliser have featured a variety of guest vocalists including Jean Grae, Roots Manuva, Seaming To, Rakaa-Iriscience, Blade, Phi Life Cypher, Bahamadia, Katerine, Dream Warriors and Daniel Dumile (as MF DOOM).

The core pairing assembled a full 8-piece live band for touring purposes, and released one Herbaliser Band album. Although still a studio rather than a live album, it is distinct from the normal Herbaliser albums; the lack of guest vocalists focuses the an overall live band feel, especially showcasing the horn section.”

The MAGIC Of Bulgarian Voices & Music Trio Bulgarka – ” Strati na Angelaki doumasche ” A cappella

March 22010

ACAPELA. Trio Bulgarka (also known as “Three Golden Coins”, previously known as “Bulgarka Folk Trio”) is a Bulgarian vocal ensemble…

They gained international prominence through their contributions to the groundbreaking 1975 world music album Le Mystere des voix Bulgares, originally released on the Swiss label Disques Cellier and later reissued on Britain’s 4AD Records and the German Jaro label.

The trio comprises Stoyanka Boneva from Pirin, Yanka Rupkina from Strandja and Eva Georgieva from Dobroudja. Their diversity of regional backgrounds enabled them to create a unique sound to their music. They signed to record labels Bulgaria Balkanton and Hannibal in 1987. Two years later they featured on The Sensual World album by Kate Bush on the songs “Deeper Understanding”, “Never Be Mine”, and “Rocket’s Tail”. In 1993 they appeared on another Kate Bush album, The Red Shoes, in the songs “You’re the One”, “The Song of Solomon”, and “Why Should I Love You?”, which also featured Prince. The trio have since concentrated on solo projects but often re-form for concert appearances

The three female vocalists in the Trio Bulgarka /Yanka Rupkina, Stoyanka Boneva, and Eva Georgieva/ have also performed and recorded with the Sofia Radio Choir, who can be heard on the famous series of Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares albums. The trio’s performances, understandably, place considerably greater weight on the harmonic and solo vocal skills of each member. Several respected Bulgarian musicians accompany them on some of the tracks on their album, The Forest is Crying, which was co-produced by Joe Boyd (more famous for producing rock acts such as Fairport Convention and R.E.M.). The Trio Bulgarka are also part of the group Balkana, have made well-received tours of the U.S. with the Radio Choir, and recorded a few tracks with rock singer Kate Bush.
