The fifth Muse studio album, The Resistance, was released on September 14th 2009. Like previous Muse albums it draws from a wide range of genres and influences, including glam rock, R&B, disco and classical. The Resistance sees the return of instrumentation previously used on Origin of Symmetry, including a church organ (Unnatural Selection) and llama toenails. Matt Bellamy summarised the album as having “an emphasis on rhythm and contemporary R&B at the start. Then it gets epic and strange, then it becomes contemporary classical music.

MK Ultra – Lyric

The wavelength gently grows
Coercive notions re-evolve
A universe is trapped inside a tear
it resonates the core
creates unnatural laws
replaces love and happiness with fear

how much deception can you take
how many lies will you create
how much longer until you break
your mind’s about to fall

and they are breaking through
they are breaking through
they are breaking through
we are losing control

they are breaking through
they are breaking through
they are breaking through
now we are falling
we are losing control

Invisible to all
The mind becomes a wall
All of history deleted with one stroke

how much deception can you take
how many lies will you create
how much longer until you break
your mind’s about to fall

and they are breaking through
they are breaking through
they are breaking through
now we are falling
we are losing control

ossip was formed in 1999 in Olympia, Washington with vocalist Beth Ditto , guitarist Nathan “Brace Paine,” and drummer Kathy Mendonca. In 1999 the Independent record label, K Records, released The Gossip’s first recording, their eponymous debut EP, The Gossip.

Their next release was their first album That’s Not What I Heard and was released by the record label Kill Rock Stars on January 23, 2001. MAC DRE was FILIPINO & liked LUMPIA. PTBTV Ray Luv Interview. Pushin’ The Bay TV

May 292010

PTBTV aka Pushin’ The Bay EXCLUSIVE! In this exclusive video, Emcee T speaks with Bay Area legend / rap veteran, RAY LUV aka Raymond Tyson.

Ray Luv speaks on Mac Dre and shares the last conversation he had with Dre. Also talks about Mac Dre’s non-stop hustle and business ethic. Listen and learn game.

Andre Hicks (July 5, 1970 — November 1, 2004), better known by his stage name, Mac Dre, was a Vallejo -Bay Area-based gangsta rapper. He is considered one of the innovators of the hyphy music movement, and the undisputed creater and figurehead of the Thizz music movement and style. During his career in the rap world, he worked with artists such as Da’unda’dogg, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre’s step brother Warren G, Mistah F.A.B., MC Hammer, Mac Mall, San Quinn, E-40, B-Legit, Richie Rich, Daz Dillinger, Bad Azz, Tupac Shakur, Luni Coleone, Brotha Lynch Hung, JT the Bigga Figga, Baby Bash, Kokane, Spice 1, Keak da Sneak, C-Bo,Andre Nickatina, Rappin’ 4-Tay, Suga Free, Ray Luv, Mob Figaz, Yukmouth Dre “Baller Dad To The Sikness” Lewis”, and Too Short. He also provided an uncredited hook to the track “Gotta Survive” off of Young Lay’s Black N’ Dangerous album, a track which featured Tupac Shakur.

Mac Dre was born in Oakland, California. As a child, Hicks was moved to and raised in Vallejo, California by his mother to remove them from the dangers of Oakland . His lyrics were largely based on his neighborhood known by those around him as “The Crest”, short for Country Club Crest. His music gained popularity in the early to mid 1990s throughout the Bay Area, eventually receiving national recognition through his independent record labels Romp and Thizz Entertainment. During his music career, he released many hit singles, such as “Too Hard for the Fuckin’ Radio”, and more recently “Feelin’ Myself”. His music continues to be released posthumously. He was the creator of the “Thizzle Dance”, a popular dance which holds no specific standard. Hardship and controversy were staples of Mac Dre’s career. After recording his first three albums between 1989 and 1991, Mac Dre was charged with conspiracy to commit bank robbery. His record label, Romp Productions, and his many references to “Romper Room” in his songs, coincided with a Vallejo robbery gang of the time calling themselves the “Romper Room Gang” and responsible for the robberies of many area banks and pizza parlors.

Ray Luv (born Raymond Tyson), is a native of the West 9th district of Santa Rosa, California. Ray became well known during the explosion of Bay Area rap in the early 1990s. His 1993 single “Get Ma Money On!” off the Who Can Be Trusted? EP was very popular and earned lots of local radio play in the San Francisco Bay Area on radio station 106.1 KMEL. One of the producers of that album was the Vallejo native Khayree who started the record label “Young Black Brotha.”

MAC MALL in Hawaii PART 2 at Mac Dre, NORTH SHORE, Wash House Music, FIJI, Tats, drunk RAPS

May 212010

PTBTV aka Pushin’ The Bay EXCLUSIVE! In this exclusive / raw video (Part 2 of 2), Mac Mall brings the Pushin’ The Bay staff to Hawaii. This is PART 2 at Waikiki Beach (speaks on Mac Dre), with crazy rare footage at Wash House Music aka Rappers Island, drunk freestyles / singing, custom tats / tattoos artwork, beautiful blue shores / seas and most importantly, showin’ the viewers how true playas / macks get down.

Waikiki is a neighborhood of Honolulu, in the City & County of Honolulu, on the south shore of the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Waikiki Beach is the shoreline fronting Waikiki.

The neighborhood extends from the Ala Wai Canal (a channel dug to drain former wetlands) on the west and north, to Diamond Head on the east. The name means spouting fresh water in Hawaiian for springs and streams that fed wetlands that once separated Waikiki from the interior. Waikiki has long been a place of relaxation. In particular, the area was a retreat for Hawaiian royalty in the 1800s. Much like the locals and tourists of today, Hawaiian royalty enjoyed surfing at Waikiki on early forms of longboards. Although not royalty as his name might suggest, Duke Kahanamoku, a local surfer born at the turn of the century and credited with popularizing the sport of surfing, is immortalized in a statue near the main strip of the Waikiki Beach. The statue, along with the numerous lei visitors to the beach place in the statue’s outreached hands, can be viewed in real-time through the Waikiki Beach Webcam.

Andre Hicks (July 5, 1970 November 1, 2004), better known by his stage name Mac Dre, was one of the originators of hyphy and is generally considered the creator of Thizz music. He worked with well-known artists such as Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Richie Rich, Keak da Sneak, E-40 ,Daz Dillinger, Baby Bash, B-Legit, San Quinn, Yukmouth, Andre Nickatina, P.S.D, Mac Mall and Too $hort. He also provided an uncredited hook to the track “Gotta Survive” from Young Lay’s Black N’ Dangerous album.

His lyrics were largely based on his neighborhood known by those around him as “The Crest”, short for Country Club Crest, a particularly rough area on the Northside of Vallejo, California. His music under the record label Young Black Brotha gained popularity throughout the Bay Area in the early 1990s. In the mid to late 1990s, he received national recognition through his independent record labels Romp and Thizz Entertainment. During his music career, he released many hit singles, such as “Too Hard for the Fuckin’ Radio,” “California Livin,” and more recently “Feelin’ Myself” and “Get Stupid”. His music continues to be released posthumously. He was the creator of the “Thizzle Dance”, as well as many other popular dances which were referred to as giggin’. The song that ignited this new underground party movement was called “Thizzle Dance,” which appeared on his album entitled Thizzelle Washington.

October 23, 24, 25 2009 Sacred Global CosmoPop Concert & EcoFest in Tumacácori, Arizona

May 162010

http://cosmopopfestivals.org/
October 23-25, 2009 come to Avalon Gardens next to the historic Tumacácori Mission for a Sacred Global CosmoPop Concert & EcoFest featuring Gabriel of Urantia & his 11-piece, international Bright & Morning Star Band! If you missed this fantastic Festival of Hope last June, youve got another chance to enjoy all the sights, sounds, flavors and more this time around as there will be added vendors, campers, and fun for the whole family. Festival activities include live music, independent film, activist theater, eco-conscious speakers, a unique eco-village experience, a sweat lodge and Medicine Wheel ceremony, a variety of ethnic foods, vendors of all sorts, and Camelot Kids Village, a fun, playful space where kids are encouraged to think about a sustainable future for the planet in interactive, creative and entertaining ways. With the theme of creating our future together as a global ecovillage, the activities and games inspire kids to have hope for our world and empowers them to be a part of the change..

Avalon Gardens is 165 acres of organic gardens and farm fields nestled right along the Santa Cruz River. Organic fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and beautiful ponds grace the property and festival events take place around a beautiful stage built by one of the ponds. Tours will be offered where festival-goers can learn about organic gardening and permaculture, as well as explore green-building projects including Cal-Earth domes and buildings made with a variety of recycled materials. There will also be an inipi (purification or sweat lodge) and Cosmic Wheel of Destiny ceremony (based on the Native American Medicine Wheel) offered. The Inipi or Sweat Lodge is an ancient ceremony of the Lakota people passed down through generations. In Native American spirituality, the Medicine Wheel represents harmony and connections and is considered a major symbol of peaceful interaction among all living beings on Earth.

This 3-day festival features Global Change Music Nonprofit Record Label artists including VansGuard, Starseed Acoustic Ensemble, and The Change Agents Band, and culminating in a grand finale Sacred Global CosmoPop Concert by Gabriel of Urantia & The Bright & Morning Star Band on Sunday afternoon, October 25th. Gabriel of Urantia is the founder of Global Change Music Nonprofit Record Label. His own unique style of music, CosmoPop, attracts people from all religions and walks of life, who seem to come together under the banner of One God, One Planetary Family. With the continued recession and economic crisis, it seems more people are open to hearing the lyrics of spiritual unity in CosmoPops content, as people are looking more inward and upward in these times of national and international crisis. CosmoPop itself is a fusion of rock, pop, jazz, folk, Celtic, and even country-western, with added mantras. Also from this unique music a unique style of dancing has emerged called CosmoDance in which people seem moved by the Spirit within.

The featured independent film for the festival is Before The Music Dies. Narrated by Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker, Before The Music Dies is an unsettling and inspiring look at todays popular music industry featuring interviews and performances by Erykah Badu, Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews, Branford Marsalis, Questlove and a wide variety of others. The documentary film has built a passionate following as the most important film a music fan will ever see (XM Radio) by providing a balanced overview of the state of the rock scene of America (The Wall Street Journal) and adding passion to the eternal debate about the industry (The New York Times).

People of all ages, all races, and all economic brackets are encouraged to come to the festival as Gabriel of Urantia is advocating what he calls new paradigm admission for these Sacred Global CosmoPop Concerts & EcoFests. The festival is by suggested donation. Because of this, many poor and disenfranchised are able to attend often making pilgrimages across the country and world to gain faith and hope in these troubled times. Donations benefit nonprofit teen & young adult rehabilitation programs and Avalon Gardens internships of Global Community Communications Alliance. Keep the dream alive!
